Composite Company Begins Work on Phase 2 Bridges in Littleton for SPS New England

Composite Company Inc. has recently begun work on a string of bridges on Interstate 495 in Littleton MA. The first bridge to be erected is a bridge on I-495 southbound over the MBTA railroad. The bridge is to be erected, complete with SIP deck and shear connectors in order for SPS New England to pour the deck before the winter. The second bridge is also on I-495 southbound over Route 2. Unfortunately, the winter season closed in on the project and only allowed for the structural steel to be erected this year.

Composite will return in the early spring to complete the SIP deck and the shear connectors on the Route 2 southbound bridge, as well as, erect the second half of the Taylor Street Bridge. Phase 3 bridges, including a delaunch of a 150 foot triple/double temporary Acrow Bridge, is scheduled to commence in the early part of the summer 2015.
